Chobe Day Trip

07:30 You will be collected by a Africa Premier Safaris representative for your full-day trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana. A 1-hour drive to the border, where you will disembark and clear immigration out of Zimbabwe, a 2-minute walk through the border, and you will be met by your Africa Premier Safaris Botswana Guide. A short drive to the Botswana border, where you once again disembark and clear immigration into Botswana. A 20-minute drive to Chobe Safari Lodge, where your safari will begin.

The best game viewing in the region is across the border in Chobe National Park in Botswana, which is only a 2-hour drive from Victoria Falls. It is one of the greatest game reserves in southern Africa and is famous for the number of elephants that live there. The Chobe River flows lazily through the Caprivi flood plains and provides a haven for huge herds of buffalo and elephant, zebra, wildebeest, lechwe, and impala, which are followed closely by predators including lions, hyenas, the elusive leopard, and the odd pack of the now rare wild dog. The bird life in particular is exceptional.

Traveling to Chobe includes passing by the point where the 4 countries of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia meet. The Safari starts with a morning game viewing cruise on the Chobe River, with tea, coffee, drinks, and light snacks being served on board. Large flocks of birds, big pods of hippo, and very large crocodiles are all around. After disembarking, lunch is then taken at the Chobe Safari Lodge, which overlooks the Chobe River and the flood plains beyond. In the afternoon, open safari vehicles are used for a game drive into the park. The game drive meanders its way back to Customs and Immigration before crossing the border and then transferring back to Victoria Falls at approximately 18H30

Please note that there are visa implications for some nationalities.
